Strong founded FLOW
based on their desire to
create a community based on unabashed enthusiasm for free enterprise
combined with an unabashed enthusiasm for doing good. FLOW is
a
community
of individuals who share these enthusiasms.
We encourage you to join together in a community
that explores ideas together, works together, plays together, and laughs
together as we create a better world. Our community includes deep
expertise in many aspects of making the world a better place, combined
with optimism and positivity.
It is also a pluralistic place in which we
encourage “radical
tolerance” for people with different perspectives, values or ideals. See
the FLOW Ethos of Interaction for guidelines on how the FLOW community
members conduct themselves. We encourage the community to develop processes
for addressing conflict and difference. If we can’t learn
to engage civilly with one another we can’t hope to create peace
on earth. In addition to those with whom you agree, expect to meet
people here whom you might regard as crazy, stupid, and immoral. Challenge
yourself: Can you create a constructive means of working towards
sustainable peace, prosperity, happiness, and well-being with people
who do not share your beliefs? |
