April FLOW Activation Circle meetings
In some respects the meetings were very different, in
others, very similar.
The New York group spent the entire
two hours on introductions. The Austin group covered the full
agenda Introductions- Peace Through Commerce content piece – exploration of
collaboration and agreement to collaborate to produce a Peace Through Commerce
event. Then, during the meeting review, many expressed that they wanted to
“go deeper” and almost everyone stayed for another 30 – 45 minutes going deeper.
In San Francisco, this theme was strongly reinforced, as the
group asked for opportunities in the future to spend more time learning more
about each other’s work, and exploring ways to collaborate.
May FLOW Activation Circle meetings
Based on ongoing feedback and on the specific process
and feedback last month, in the meetings this month we will focus on explicitly
“going deeper” into connecting, community, and collaboration. As Austin FAC
participant Roger Chan observed, reflecting on the difference between Asian
and Western business people, the former do business with people whom they “know,
like, and trust.”
