While John’s other entrepreneurial endeavor,
(Whole Foods Market, of which he is co-founder and CEO), keeps
him quite busy, remarkably enough he also finds time to contribute
to the intellectual development
of FLOW, of which he is also co-founder. He is a serious student
of ideas and a passionate entrepreneur of meaning, forging new
ground as the convergence of business, consciousness, and compassion.
We are fortunate to have John as an ambassador for FLOW and to
be able to point to Whole Foods as a powerful embodiment of FLOW
principles.
We would like to call a number of John’s recent FLOW-related contributions to
your attention.
See also The Role of the Corporation, John Mackey’s debate with Milton Friedman, and Cypress Semiconductor's T.J.
Rodgers that originally ran in Reason magazine in October of 2005,
available at the FLOW website.
It is very rare to have the CEO of a Fortune
500 company who is also co-creating an original vision for how
to make the world a better place. We are most grateful for and
excited by his contributions. John's
blog at the Whole Foods' web site is rich with content
and dialog. Well worth exploring.
Towards a sustainable peace, prosperity, and happiness for all,

Michael Strong, CEO & Chief Visionary Officer
